What's Your Style

As December rolls around I start to think about what this year was like, what happened, what did I accomplish, where am I now. It is a huge reflection time for me..
Christmas will be here before you know it and then thoughts rush in about the New Year.. and what the next year will hold. Some of us will make resolutions, some not.. I try:)
This past year, I tried to focus on my vision, my style... I have tried to learn as much as I could with processing techniques, as that was a big focus.. Did I find an answer??? Not 100% sure, but feel maybe I am a step closer to figuring it out..
For this image, I added a texture and a tone texture..

Live View

My new camera has the Live View option.. Does anyone else use this feature?

While on my recent trip to Longwood, I tried out the Live View on some flower images.. I really like the feature!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!!

Purple Puff

Another flower image from Longwood Gardens.

Where does your eye go to first in this image? The purple or yellow, the top or bottom?

Leaf Swipe

Here is a swipe image that I made during my trip to Longwood Gardens over the weekend.

The subject was a plant (?) with big colorful leaves located in the Conservatory..

I processed this image with Topas Simplify, which gave it an additional color kick.

Flower Swirl

Today I met a group of photobuds at Longwood Gardens for some flower time. I haven't been in awhile and felt the need to get out to the see the mums before they are gone.

This is a Multiple Exposure image, I also turned the camera in a counter clockwise or clockwise direction while shooting each frame (I did both, but can't recall which on for this image) ..

Give it a whirl if you can:) It's fun!
Still playing with Topaz.. So far I like the filters!

Sun Star

I have just downloaded the Topaz bundle set. I like the filters but have to learn how to apply them.

This image was taken on a Valley Forge Workshop with Ed Heaton Photography back in August.

For Tuesday, November 10th

Yesterday was the U.S. Marine Corp's Birthday! (a day late on my part, due to busy schedules)
This image was taken when I went to visit Arlington Cemetary.

Both my sister and brother and brother in law served in the Marine Corps! Ooh Rah! as they say:)

Happy Veterans Day!

Thank a Veteran today!

Water Patterns

This is an image that I took on a scouting trip last month. I was practicing the swipe technique with the rushing water. The leaves were a bonus:) Applied a soft paint brush to this image.

Where does time go? Seems it rushes away from us so quickly and doesn't have a memory to go backwards.

National Building Museum

On a recent trip to DC, we made a stop at the National Building Museum. It is a really cool place to visit and take pictures. I decided to have a little zoom fun with the columns!
